How it works

How Runway works

Five steps, and most happen once. This isn't an app to open daily. It's there so that when a real decision shows up, you already know what it costs you.

Step 01

Tell us where you are

Not a form. Just where you actually stand: what you earn, what you owe, what you do, and what's worrying you. Two minutes.

  • No account needed to see your first numbers
  • Skip anything you'd rather not answer
  • Change any of it later

Step 02

Connect what you want, on your terms

Singpass Myinfo brings in your CPF, MediSave and SkillsFuture balances. Banks, cards, policies and Apple Health are each optional, and each can be switched off.

  • Read-only. Runway can look, never move money
  • Disconnect anything anytime without losing your plan
  • Connect nothing at all and Runway still works on estimates

Step 03

Two numbers you've probably never seen

How long your money lasts if income stopped today. And how much of your job is the kind of work AI already does well.

  • Your buffer is real spending against real savings, not a retirement projection
  • Exposure is scored against the ILO's Occupational Exposure Index, not guesswork
  • Both update as your accounts and your role change

Step 04

One next step, with a price on it

Runway won't hand you twenty things to do. It shows the one move that changes both numbers most, what it's worth, and why it comes before everything else on the list.

  • Every suggestion comes with a value and a named source
  • Funded options come first, because you've already paid for them
  • Product decisions go to a MAS-licensed adviser

Step 05

A real person, the moment it matters

Your coach handles the everyday. But "should I buy term life" is a product decision, and that belongs with someone licensed. Runway hands you over with your plan attached, so you never repeat yourself.

  • MAS-licensed advisers for anything product-specific
  • They see the same plan you do, from the first message
  • No commission-led ranking inside the app

What it isn't

Some things Runway deliberately doesn't do.

It doesn't move your money

Every connection is read-only. Runway sees your accounts so it can be useful. That's the whole of it.

It doesn't sell you products

Nothing is ranked by commission. Product decisions go to a licensed adviser, not the app.

It doesn't nag you

Runway is for the moments that count: a job offer, a flat, a rent hike. Not a streak counter.

Does this actually help?

We'd rather ask than assume.

Everything above is what we think Runway should be. The survey is how we find out whether we're right. Five minutes, anonymous, nothing being sold.
